1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Clear View Cleaning’s services, accessing our website, or communicating with us through any channel (phone, email, SMS, or in-person), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Client,” “Customer,” or “you”) and Clear View Cleaning (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Services Provided

Service Description

Clear View Cleaning provides professional residential and commercial cleaning services in the North Bay, Ontario area, including but not limited to:

  • Regular maintenance cleaning
  • Deep cleaning services
  • Move-in/move-out cleaning
  • Post-construction cleaning
  • Specialized cleaning services
  • Custom cleaning packages

Service Scope

The specific services to be provided will be outlined in your service agreement, quote, or booking confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse service or modify the scope of work based on safety concerns, property conditions, or other reasonable factors.

3. Booking and Scheduling

Confirmation

All bookings must be confirmed by Clear View Cleaning. A booking is not considered confirmed until you receive written or verbal confirmation from us.

Scheduling Changes

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred schedule. However, scheduling is subject to availability, and we reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Staff availability
  • Emergency situations
  • Equipment failures

We will provide as much advance notice as possible for any schedule changes initiated by us.

4. Pricing and Payment

Quotes and Estimates

All quotes are estimates based on the information provided. Final pricing may vary if:

  • The actual condition differs from what was described
  • Additional services are requested
  • Access or property conditions require additional time or resources

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Accepted payment methods: Cash, e-transfer, credit card, debit, or cheque
  • For recurring services, payment is due on the day of service or as specified in your service agreement
  • Late payments may be subject to a fee of 2% per month (26.82% annually)

Price Changes

We reserve the right to adjust our pricing with 30 days’ written notice for recurring service clients. One-time service pricing is locked at the time of booking confirmation.

Deposits

For large projects or first-time commercial clients, we may require a deposit of up to 50% of the estimated service cost. Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the service.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Client Cancellations

  • 24+ Hours Notice: No cancellation fee
  • 12-24 Hours Notice: 50% of the scheduled service fee
  • Less than 12 Hours Notice: 100% of the scheduled service fee
  • No-Show: 100% of the scheduled service fee plus potential removal from recurring service schedule

Rescheduling

Clients may reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge. Rescheduling requests with less than 24 hours’ notice will be treated as cancellations subject to the above fees.

Weather Cancellations

In the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions, we may cancel or reschedule appointments. No cancellation fees will apply for weather-related cancellations initiated by Clear View Cleaning.

6. Client Responsibilities

Access and Entry

Clients must:

  • Provide safe and unobstructed access to all areas to be cleaned
  • Ensure someone 18+ is present, or provide alternative secure entry arrangements
  • Inform us of any access codes, keys, or special entry instructions
  • Notify us of any pets, security systems, or special considerations

Property Preparation

Clients should:

  • Secure valuables and fragile items
  • Remove clutter from surfaces to be cleaned
  • Inform us of any areas that should not be cleaned or entered
  • Disclose any hazardous conditions (mold, asbestos, biohazards, etc.)
  • Ensure utilities (water, electricity) are available and functional

Pets

Clients with pets must:

  • Secure pets in a safe area away from cleaning zones
  • Inform us of any aggressive or unpredictable animals
  • Clean up any pet accidents before our arrival (or request this as an additional service)

Hazardous Conditions

Clients must disclose any hazardous conditions including but not limited to:

  • Mold or mildew
  • Pest infestations
  • Biohazards or bodily fluids
  • Structural damage or unsafe flooring
  • Chemical contamination

We reserve the right to refuse service or charge additional fees for hazardous conditions not disclosed in advance.

7. Our Responsibilities and Service Standards

Professional Service

We commit to:

  • Providing trained and background-checked cleaning professionals
  • Using professional-grade cleaning products and equipment
  • Completing services in a timely and professional manner
  • Respecting your property and privacy

Quality Assurance

If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of our service:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of service completion
  • We will return to address any legitimate concerns at no additional charge
  • Re-cleaning must occur within 48 hours of the original service

Service Limitations

We are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage or wear to surfaces, fixtures, or materials
  • Stains or damage that cannot be removed with standard cleaning methods
  • Items that are improperly secured or placed in cleaning areas
  • Damage caused by defective or worn fixtures, surfaces, or materials

8. Liability and Insurance

Insurance Coverage

Clear View Cleaning maintains general liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available upon request.

Liability Limitations

Our liability is limited to:

  • Direct damages caused by our negligence
  • The cost of the service provided or $1,000, whichever is less
  • Damages covered by our insurance policy

Damage Claims

To file a damage claim:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of discovering the damage
  • Provide photographic evidence and a detailed description
  • Allow us to inspect the damage
  • File a formal written claim within 7 days

We will not be held liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage or conditions
  • Damage caused by improper use of products or equipment by the client
  • Consequential, indirect, or incidental damages
  • Damage to items not disclosed to us prior to service
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage resulting from failure to follow care instructions

Client Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold Clear View Cleaning harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Failure to disclose hazardous conditions
  • Injuries occurring on the property not caused by our negligence
  • Third-party claims related to the client’s property

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

Privacy Commitment

We respect your privacy and maintain confidentiality regarding:

  • Your property layout and contents
  • Personal information and communications
  • Security codes and access information
  • Any sensitive information observed during service

Data Protection

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data collection, use, and protection.

SMS Communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS communications including appointment reminders, service updates, and promotional messages. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our Privacy Policy for complete SMS terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and materials related to Clear View Cleaning are our intellectual property. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.

11. Dispute Resolution

We will make good faith efforts to resolve disputes amicably within 10 business days.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Jurisdiction

Any legal disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

12. Termination of Service

Client Termination

Clients with recurring services may terminate at any time with 7 days’ written notice. Any prepaid services will be prorated and refunded, minus any applicable cancellation fees.

Our Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to terminate service immediately and without refund if:

  • The client breaches these Terms and Conditions
  • Payment is not received as agreed
  • Unsafe or hazardous conditions are present
  • Our staff are subjected to harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior
  • False or misleading information was provided
  • The client engages in illegal activity

13. Recurring Service Agreements

Automatic Scheduling

For recurring services:

  • Services will be automatically scheduled at agreed intervals
  • Payment will be processed on the day of service unless otherwise arranged
  • Pricing remains locked for the duration of the agreement unless 30 days’ notice is provided

Service Modifications

Clients may modify recurring services with 7 days’ notice. Changes may affect pricing.

Holds and Vacations

Clients may place recurring services on hold for vacations or other reasons with advance notice. Services will resume as scheduled upon return.

14. Special Services and Additional Terms

Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning

  • Property must be vacant and utilities must be functional
  • Keys or access codes must be provided in advance
  • Final walkthrough recommended before service begins

Post-Construction Cleaning

  • Major construction debris must be removed prior to our arrival
  • Additional fees may apply for excessive dust or debris
  • Multiple cleaning passes may be required

Commercial Services

  • Commercial clients may be subject to separate contract terms
  • After-hours service available by arrangement
  • Customized cleaning protocols available upon request

15. Force Majeure

Clear View Cleaning shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Severe weather conditions
  • Government actions or restrictions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Labor disputes
  • Utility failures

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any written service agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clear View Cleaning regarding our services.

18. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or notification to clients. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

For recurring service clients, material changes will be communicated with 30 days’ notice.
